As checked on September 22, 2026, Valve lists The Blood of Dawnwalker as Unsupported on Steam Deck due to graphics performance. This replaces our August 29 unrated snapshot. An official rating is not a benchmark: we have not measured handheld frame rates or tested a settings preset.

Current Valve verdict: Unsupported

The compatibility API for app 3751260 now returns resolved_category 1 and the UnsupportedGraphicsPerformance reason. This is the Steam Deck result; separate SteamOS and other hardware fields must not be substituted for the Deck verdict.

What changed since our earlier check

Our August 29 snapshot returned category 0 without a published verdict. That historical observation is no longer the current answer. The September 22 check resolves an Unsupported rating, which may change if Valve reassesses the game.

Official desktop requirements

Bandai Namco lists an i5-11400F or Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1060 or RX 580, and 60 GB SSD space at minimum. The recommended GPU list includes RTX 4060, RX 7600 XT and Arc B580. These Windows targets are not Steam Deck performance measurements.

Hotfix 1.0.5 does not establish Deck compatibility

The Steam announcement describes shader-compilation improvements that may reduce stuttering for some users. It does not announce Steam Deck verification or promise a frame rate. Keep the patch change separate from Valve's compatibility verdict.

Before relying on a settings recommendation

A useful handheld test must identify the game build, SteamOS version, Deck model, resolution and settings, then test demanding scenes and suspend/resume. This page provides no locally tested FPS or battery claim.

Is Dawnwalker Steam Deck Verified?

No. The September 22, 2026 Valve API check returns Unsupported with graphics performance as the reason.

Does Unsupported mean the game cannot launch?

The returned reason concerns graphics performance; it is not evidence that launching is impossible. We have not tested native Deck play.

Did Hotfix 1.0.5 make the game Steam Deck compatible?

The patch announcement does not say that. Valve's checked Deck verdict remains Unsupported.
