01
What the launch guide actually lists
PC Gamer's walkthrough covers three partners and does not include Ambrus. This is a source-based answer for the reviewed release coverage, not an official promise about future updates or DLC.
02
Inviting Ambrus is a different choice
Story spoilers: Sean Martin's separate Ambrus guide describes the invitation as allowing his voice to comment during the rest of the game. It does not describe a romantic scene or partner questline.
03
Separate the invitation from the ability reward
That walkthrough reports Scarlet Shield comes from drinking Ambrus's blood whether or not you invite him in. Choosing the invitation to obtain a romance, or treating the ability as proof of one, is unsupported.
04
Which answer to use when planning a run
Plan around the documented partners rather than reserving time for a speculative Ambrus route. If you specifically want his commentary, consult the invitation guide linked below. This page does not reproduce or claim to have tested that encounter.
